Biography of Timothy Chey

Timothy Chey has produced, written and/or directed 14 feature films, including “Freedom” (Cuba Gooding, Jr., Sharon Leal, William Sadler) ‘Suing the Devil’ (Malcolm McDowell, Shannen Fields, Corbin Bernsen, Tom Sizemore, and Rebecca St. James), ‘David and Goliath’, ‘Slamma Jamma’ (Michael Irvin, Jose Canseco), ‘The Islands’ (Mira Sorvino, Teuria Napa, John Savage, Ricky Su’ava), ’20 Minutes’, and ‘Journey to Hell’

Educated at Harvard University, USC Film School, and Boston University School of Law, Chey’s work has been seen on E! Entertainment, The Wall Street Journal, The LA Times, VIBE TV, MTV, Daily Variety, CBS News, ABC News, Hollywood Reporter, TNT, USA Networks, the Dove Awards, MovieGuide Awards, People Magazine, and the New York Times.

Chey was the recipient of the ‘Spirit of the Independent’ award for Best Director. He served as chairman of the Student Awards committee at the Director’s Guild of America.

Tim Chey also directed and co-hosted ‘Epic Journey’ which took him to over 30 countries for Daystar TV which reached over 80 million homes worldwide.

He is also a litigation attorney who focuses on consumer-rights and has done pro bono work for the Union Rescue Mission.

  1. I have read the final and I was really amazed! I just recently got saved and I’m learning the bible. I have been wondering when will the DVD be available. I am also interested in your other movies as well. You have done a wonderful job.
